DESCRIPTION:The Houston SPCA is the only agency in Houston and the surrounding area that provides a stray injured animal ambulance and rescue service 24 hours a day, every day of the year, including holidays. Our injured animal rescue technicians respond to emergency calls of animals in danger and distress, from domestic animals to horses. Injured animals are rescued and brought to the Houston SPCA, where we provide emergency care to them.

INTAKE PROCEDURE:Anybody who sees a stray animal that is injured or in a life-threatening situation should call the Houston SPCA at (713) 869-7722.

ELIGIBILITY:This is a service for stray animals. If you are a pet owner and your animal is injured, please contact your vet or a nearby emergency vet immediately.

The Houston SPCA is not an animal control facility; our drivers only pick up animals that are injured or in distress. They will not pick up all strays. If you need a stray animal removed from your neighborhood, please contact your local animal control agency.
