Home Repair For Hurricane Damaged Homes (GHCF 4)

DESCRIPTION:Rebuilds Hurricane Harvey-impacted homes for low income families. Services will include minor and full home repairs to support home stabilization for those impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

Agency requires applicants use the Harvey Home Connect on-line application to apply for services. See application process for details.

INTAKE PROCEDURE:Non-profit service providers or individuals themselves can complete the online application at "Harvey Home connect":
After the application is submitted, there are two more steps for eligibility: the Harvey Home Connect team will verify the submitted documents; a representative from a partner organization will contact the applicant to perform an assessment of construction needs on the home. Following these steps, the team will determine whether or not the home is eligible for repairs.


DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:Proof of impact by Hurricane Harvey, proof of income, additional documents needed will be listed on the on-line application

ELIGIBILITY:1. The home is located in the City of Houston and/or Harris County.
2. Hurricane Harvey damaged the home.
3. The seeker lived in the home prior to Hurricane Harvey in August 2017.
4. The home is owned by the seeker, another member of their household, or a family member (living or deceased).
5. The household income is less than 400% of the federal poverty guidelines, which vary by household size.
6) Taxes are up to date or are on a payment plan.
