Hurricane Harvey Relief (GHCF 4)

DESCRIPTION:Repair and stabilize homes damaged by Hurricane Harvey. Services include housing recovery counseling, damage assessment, assistance obtaining repair quotes and contracts, inspections, client navigator services to liaise between homeowners and contractors, payment of repair costs, back taxes, and flood insurance premiums. Assistance with relocation for mortgage-ready renters and homeowners whose homes hae flooded three times via down payment and homebuyer education classes.

INTAKE PROCEDURE:Complete the online application at "Harvey Home connect":
After the application is submitted, there are two more steps for eligibility: the Harvey Home Connect team will verify the submitted documents; a representative from a partner organization will contact the applicant to perform an assessment of construction needs on the home. Following these steps, the team will determine whether or not the home is eligible for repairs.

ELIGIBILITY:Have less than 100% of area median income (AMI), Reside in coverage area, impacted by Hurricane Harvey, Home has not flooded three (3) or more times, Occupants have rights to long-term residence of the damaged property, At least one of the household members is either (a) a child under the age of 14 or a pregnant woman OR (b) elderly (62 years of age as of the date of Intake) OR (c) has a disability OR (d) ineligible for FEMA
