DESCRIPTION:Offers a dementia-specific adult day program designed to meet the special needs of elders and families affected by Alzheimer's and related disorders. The program includes recreational therapy, specialized programming, and an on-site nurse. Provides support, education, and respite for families.

INTAKE PROCEDURE:Call for appointment

FEES:Scholarships and financial assistance available

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:Physicians Orders Form (provided by Day Center)
Copy of results from recent Chest XRay or TB Test (less than one year old)

ELIGIBILITY:Must have a doctor's diagnosis of Alzheimer's or related memory disease; Must be able to bear weight

HOURS:Mon - Fri 7:00am - 6:00pm

AREA SERVED:Greater Houston area

PROGRAM CAPACITY:65 clients per day

SPECIAL FEATURES:Compassionate supervision by staff experienced in dementia care

Low staff to participant ration (1:6)

On-site nurse

Variety of specialized activities for individuals with dementia

Safe, secure and well-planned environment, includeing secure outdoor space

Caregiver support

TRANSPORTATION:The Day Center does not provide transportation., However, the Day Center can assist clients in finding transportation providers
